Pottery Care

All of our handmade stoneware is made using 100% lead free, food safe glazes and materials, and created to be both dishwasher and microwave safe. Our handmade stoneware is designed to be quite durable and hearty, however, a few practices will help the longevity of your heirloom pieces.

Cleaning

Feel free to put your pottery in the dishwasher. If you choose to wash it by hand, please use a soft scrub brush and dish soap, and avoid metal and/or abrasive sponges.

Temperature Control

Our stoneware is very capable of handling both hot temperatures and cold temperatures. However, when a piece is taken from one extreme to the other quickly, it can cause the pottery to crack or break (example: removing a baking dish from the refrigerator and placing directly into a hot oven). Remember to slowly transition your pottery from one temperature to the next, and you will avoid this circumstance.

NOTE: Due to the thickness and design of certain pieces, we recommend only using our line of baking dishes for cooking in the oven (other than warming temperatures).
